The Bible states that God created the lights in the heavens for signs, seasons, days and years. (Genesis 1:14). Modern astronomy now understands that:

A year is the time required for the earth to travel once around the sun.

The seasons are caused by the changing position of the earth in relation to the sun.

A month is the time of one revolution of the moon around the earth with respect to the sun. Encyclopaedia Britannica

But God told Moses this 3500 years ago!

Ecclesiastes 1:7

Modern science now understands that rainfall is part of a process called "Hydrologic Cycle". The Bible already made this clear! (Ecclesiastes 11:3, Amos 9:6, Job 28:26).

Ecclesiastes 1:6

Solomon is describing a cycle of air currents two thousand years before science discovered them.

Psalm 8:8

Paths of the seas? Just poetry? But in the 1850s Matthew Maury discovered the paths of the warm and cold continental currents!

Jonah 2:6

Come on! But scientists have discovered this is true.

Genesis 3:15

The word offspring is "seed." The Bible states that a female possesses a seed for child bearing. This was only discovered a few centuries ago.

Leviticus 17:11

Blood is the source of life. But a hundred and twenty years ago sick people were bled and many died. They should have read the Bible!

Medical science has recently discovered that blood clotting in a newborn baby reaches its peak on the eighth day. The Bible made this clear thousands of years ago, stating that a baby needed to be circumcised on the eighth day. (Genesis 17:12, Luke 2:21).

Leviticus 15:13

With regard to disease the Bible says to wash hands under running water. Millions of lives could have been saved if doctors had heeded this.
